Terms of Service

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully.

They cover API access, AI-generated content, real-person assets, prohibited uses, billing, enforcement, and allocation of risk. They should be read with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and AI Content Safety Policy.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Interastral Peace Limited (doing business as PiAPI), a company registered in Hong Kong ("PiAPI," "we," or "us"). They govern piapi.ai, its APIs, dashboards, documentation, AI generation and media-processing features, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing the Services, you accept these Terms and confirm that you are at least 18, have legal capacity, and, if acting for an organization, have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Accounts, API keys, and security

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by your employees, contractors, applications, and end users. Do not share, sell, transfer, expose, or embed secret keys in client-side code. Notify support@piapi.ai promptly of suspected compromise. We may rotate or revoke credentials and impose technical limits to protect the Services.

3. The Services and third-party models

PiAPI provides infrastructure and access to services that may be supplied by third-party model, hosting, payment, or infrastructure providers. Provider terms and restrictions may apply in addition to these Terms. Models, pricing, endpoints, features, quotas, latency, and output behavior may change, be unavailable, or be discontinued. PiAPI is not affiliated with or endorsed by a third-party provider merely because its service or name appears on the Site.

4. Inputs, Outputs, and permissions

"Input" means prompts, files, images, video, audio, code, data, or other material you submit; "Output" means material returned in response. As between you and PiAPI, you retain your rights in Inputs. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, PiAPI does not claim ownership of your Outputs. You grant PiAPI and its service providers a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, modify, and process Inputs and Outputs only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and enforce the Services and comply with law. You represent that you have every right, consent, notice, and lawful basis required for your Inputs, instructions, Outputs, and intended use.

5. AI output limitations

AI Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, offensive, non-unique, or similar to content generated for others. PiAPI does not promise that an Output is original, copyrightable, accurate, safe for a particular use, or free from third-party rights. You must evaluate Outputs and use appropriate human review before relying on, publishing, or distributing them. Outputs must not be used as professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or other expert advice, or as the sole basis for high-impact decisions.

6. Real people and private assets

You may use a person's face, voice, likeness, identity, or personal data only when you have valid permission and a lawful basis for the intended processing and distribution. Asset review or verification, including verification through the Private Asset Library, is a safety and access-control measure—not proof of consent, ownership, non-infringement, or legal clearance. You are responsible for retaining evidence of authorization and respecting applicable privacy, biometric, publicity, labor, and intellectual-property laws.

7. Acceptable use

You must follow our AI Content Safety Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. You may not use the Services to generate, transform, store, or distribute pornographic, sexually explicit, or other adult sexual content. Prohibited uses also include child sexual abuse material; non-consensual intimate imagery; sexual deepfakes; unauthorized impersonation or biometric use; fraud; harassment; violent wrongdoing; malware; illegal, deceptive, abusive, exploitative, or rights-infringing activity; and attempts to bypass safety controls. An unexpected prohibited Output does not mean PiAPI permits or supports that content. You must stop using or distributing it, report it with the relevant task identifier, and must not repeatedly regenerate it. We may block requests, disable an API key, restrict features, or suspend or terminate an account where we discover or reasonably suspect a violation.

8. Customer applications and end users

If you make the Services available through your product, you are responsible for that product and its users. You must provide legally sufficient notices and terms, obtain required consents, protect API credentials, implement proportionate moderation and age controls, respond to reports, and prevent suspended users from regaining access. You may not imply that PiAPI sponsors, certifies, or assumes responsibility for your application or its Outputs.

9. Fees, credits, taxes, and refunds

You agree to pay displayed fees and applicable taxes. Usage records maintained by PiAPI govern metered charges absent manifest error. Credits, subscriptions, expiration, cancellation, and refund eligibility are described at purchase and in our Refund Policy. Except where law requires otherwise, purchases and consumed usage are final and non-refundable. Chargebacks or payment failures may result in suspension.

10. Intellectual property and feedback

The Services, Site content, software, documentation, designs, and PiAPI marks are owned by PiAPI or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant PiAPI a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or attribution. Do not submit confidential information as feedback.

11. Reports, moderation, and enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations; filter or refuse Inputs; withhold or remove Outputs; require proof of rights or consent; restrict models, assets, keys, or accounts; preserve relevant records; and suspend or terminate access. We may report apparent illegal activity or disclose information when permitted or required by law. These measures do not create a duty to monitor all activity or guarantee detection. Good-faith content, privacy, or intellectual-property reports may be sent to support@piapi.ai with sufficient identifiers and supporting information.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including account details, prompts, uploads, generated media, task metadata, device data, usage logs, and abuse reports. You must not submit sensitive personal data unless it is necessary, lawful, appropriately secured, and supported by all required notices and consents.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately where reasonably necessary for safety, security, nonpayment, legal compliance, provider requirements, protection of third parties, or suspected breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions—will survive.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES AND OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." PIAPI AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND RESULTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES OR OUTPUTS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR USE.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIAPI AND ITS AFFILIATES, PERSONNEL, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OUTPUTS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. PIAPI'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID PIAPI FOR THE SERVICES GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PiAPI, its affiliates, personnel, and suppliers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, and reasonable legal fees arising from your Inputs, Outputs, customer application, end users, breach of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, biometric, confidentiality, or other rights. PiAPI may control the defense and settlement, and you will reasonably cooperate.

17. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the Services. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, incorporated policies, and applicable order terms are the entire agreement concerning the Services.

18. Contact

Questions, legal notices, content reports, or account-security concerns may be sent to support@piapi.ai. The Services are operated by Interastral Peace Limited, registered in Hong Kong.
