Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode API: Draft to Final Video on PiAPI

Seedance 2.5 Draft Mode is a two-step video workflow on PiAPI: send draft: true at 480p, wait for the task to complete, then send its draft_task_id at 1080p.

How Draft Mode works

The first request is a normal Seedance 2.5 task with draft: true and resolution: 480p. After it completes, the second request contains only the completed task id and resolution: 1080p.

The two requests

• Draft: send draft: true with resolution: 480p.
• Wait until the draft task reaches a completed state.
• Final: send draft_task_id with resolution: 1080p.
• The final task produces the 1080p video while the draft remains available for review.

Request details

• Use the same Seedance 2.5 model and task type for both requests.
• The final request does not repeat prompt, media, duration, aspect ratio, seed, audio, or omni reference fields.
• Draft tasks remain valid for seven days, so the final request can follow later.
• The workflow is available from the existing /seedance-2-5 page and its separate product contract.
